Our people in Africa are adapting to the new technology solutions very quickly. Their requirements are getting more advanced. Africans need 24/7 connection to the internet for working online, purchasing goods online and accessing their social media (You Tube, Facebook, Twitter, Google, Instagram, Tik-Tok, WeChat, Zoom, Skype, etc). In the office environment, customers are considering cloud computing and other cost-saving applications. The internet and wireless service providers must provide fast reliable high quality personalized services to these customers. Latest technologies being deployed to address this demand include high speed broadband services (fiber-to-the -buildings, 4G LTE and 5G wireless broadband). More online software applications are being rolled out to customers daily – thanks to new technology platforms from the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR).

Customers are acquiring more sophisticated devices (laptops, smart phones, tablets) to keep them connected at all times. These powerful devices can only work on well-planned robust telecom network infrastructure networks. Services have evolved from single play (phone/voice) to double play (voice & data) to triple play (voice, data(broadband), television) to quad play (phone, data, television, online business and social media services)

New business models are required in the ICT industry for service providers, vendors, suppliers and contractors in order to continue to meet customer needs in a cost-effective framework. New initiatives like outsourcing, network sharing, managed services, joint ventures for value-added services are becoming common words for operators if they have to offer more efficient, intelligent, flexible, automated, resilient, fast, secure, private and latent network infrastructure. Such initiatives minimise capex and opex expenditure associated with running the networks and service platforms. Our consultants and experts are available to assist clients understand and deal with these issues.
